SSC (CHSL) LDC 2014 Selection Procedure

Staff Selection Commission will be following SSC LDC 2014 Selection Procedure to select the candidates for the vacant positions of lower division clerk. Candidates can check the complete notification for all the details regarding the selection process of the candidates. Candidates appearing for lower division clerk post in SSC will have to first appear in written examination and then go through the typing test.

There are total of 991 vacancies for lower division clerks for which the examination will be conducted on 2 & 9 November 2014 and as per the Selection Process for SSC LDC 2014 they have to appear in typing test as well. The typing test will be conducted in both the languages, i.e., Hindi and English. The choice of language must be mentioned by the candidates at the time of filling the application form. Therefore if the candidate has opted Hindi language for typing test, then they cannot change it to English afterwards under any circumstances.

As per the norms under SSC LDC 2014 Selection Procedure, candidates those who opted for English language must be able to type 35 words per minutes and those opted for Hindi must be capable of writing 35 words per minute. Typing speed of the candidates will be judged on a computer system through a passage in their preferred language for 10 minutes. For candidates with 40% disability in their visual power, 30 minutes will be provided for the same passage and a dictator will be allotted to read the passage for VH candidates.
